1-31-12:  Thank you for your prayers for Jan.  I spoke to her a while ago and she sounded good.  No blockages were found.  Praise God.  Although they found another possible problem and she may need open heart surgery in a couple of years.  She did not understand the probken,  Your prayers were a blessing a truly appreciated. 1-30-12:  Jan just called and she is to be at the hospital at 7:30 am.  They will be doing  another heart cath this time instead of going through the groin they are using a new procedure and entering under her arm.  Please pray for God to guide the doctors hands and that He be with all the medical staff during and following the procedure.  She asked for prayer that nothing will be found during the procedure.  I pray that God will give her comfort and support during this time.  She will be in the hospital at least overnight.  Thank you In Him Marge

1-26-12:  Please pray for my sister Jan Hoover again.  She saw her cardiologist yesterday and after some preliminary tests he feels she may have more heart issues and will be doing a heart cath next week.  She has been having some chest pain the last few weeks.  Also she is in the middle of moving back to the area.  She has made arrangements for February 29 and to be home March 1.  Please pray for God to give her peace and healing.  She is under much stress at the present time.  Thanks to everyone:  In Him Marge Z

1-19-12:  Praise - The Northeast Ohio Girls' Chrysalis Flight #42 was amazing!  18 girls were transformed into beautiful butterflies who are ready to 'Fly with Christ'!  God used this flight to draw me closer to Him.  I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to be on the team - especially in the prayer chapel for the whole weekend.  What an AWESOME God we have!!!  Chris

1-19-12:  Please pray for Barb Sekerak who is dealing with a vein blockage in her left leg.  The right leg is partially blocked by blood is still flowing. Barb also needs lots of prayers for sky high stress levels.  The stress is causing many other health problems. In Christ, Chris 

1-19-12:  Please continue to pray for Rev. Jack Austin.  I am receiving updates from his wife and church family.  He is the retired minister of Salem First Christian Church where I previously attended.  He had a stroke a few weeks ago and is paralized on his left side.  This week they did surgery to insert  a shunt in the brain and he was improving daily.  Yesterday, Karen his wife emailed the following, Jack was alert as possible, however he has a raging fever.  They are culturing every orifice and every drain site.  Please pray for this infection to be found and controlled.  Please lift Jack, Karen and family in prayer asking for the medical staff to locate the side of infection and the combination of medication to control it.  Pray for comfort, healing and peace during this time of trial. In Him, Marge

1-18-12:  Lift up the family of Charles Wilson who passed away early this morning. The service will be at our church on Friday, January 20, at 11:00 A.M. with a luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall. Pray for Christ to give comfort, love, and support to the family at this difficult time.

1-17-12:  Salem Schools has a couple of staff members in need of prayers.  Joe the high school principal had colon surgery yesterday due to malignant polyps.  Surgery went well.

1-16-12:  Please lift up Edith Spooner in prayer. She is in Salem Hospital with an infection. Her daughter, Luci, and granddaughter, Terri, are in Florida.  Pray for wisdom for the doctors as they make a diagnosis and administer her treatment. Pray for her healing, peace, and comfort. In Him, Barb

1-12-12:  Please pray for Malita Kurtz who is recovering from lung surgery.  Parts of her lungs were sent to lab to be tested for cancer.  Pray for her recovery, the doctors to have wisdom to help and for her family as they surround her during this difficult time.

1-12-12:  Dakota Murphy was rushed to Alliance Hospital this morning. He passed out while the babysitter was there and was unresponsive. He is doing better at the ER. He has the flu and they are running more tests, but he probably won’t need to stay and will be able to go home.  Pray for strength for Linda as she cares for him and peace and strength for Randy as he is in PA today with work. 1-10-12:  Pray for Melissa Cordmel, a mother of three young children, who just found out she has breast cancer.

1-10-12: Pastor Jay Lucas procedure on Jan. 19 called a wound exploration where the doctor will go in the wound to clean up the area that is not healing.

1-10-12:  Sheila Lucas will see the specialist on Jan. 13.

For all three people pray for God's healing hand, peace of mind and that their doctors would be given the wisdom to know how to help each one. In Christ, Chris

1-5-12:  Please pray for the girls who will be attending the Northeast Ohio Girls'Chrysalis Flight at Camp Asbury Jan. 14, 15 & 16.  Pray that God will touch them in a mighty powerful way, that He will draw each girl -caterpillar closer to himself as they change in their relationship and become butterflies by the end of the weekend.  Please pray for the team who will be guiding the girls in the weekend that
Christ will shine through us. I'm blessed as I was asked to be on team.  I am in the Prayer Chapel
spending time in prayer over the caterpillars, the team and the 15 speakers who will share personal testimonies to draw the girls closer to Christ.

There is a online prayer vigil set up if you would be willing to pray for this Chrysalis Flight for 30 minutes.

1-4-12:  Please pray for the family of Jane Cunningham, Skip Buttermore and Carol Flickinger’s sister, who passed away in Florida. Visiting hours are on Thursday, Jan. 5, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Walton-Schrader Funeral Home, 1131 W. State St., Alliance.
